Five years ago, Majia Kauhar debuted as Walsall and became the first Afghan to go to play professionally in Great Britain.
However, due to injuries, lack of opportunity and alleged racial abuse, Kawhar was released in 2019.
His chances as a footballer were slim and to make matters worse, towards the global epidemic horizon.
He found work at KFC, then as a car dealer - but none could compare to football.
However, on Saturday, the FA Trophy Final (1:15:15 BST) - The 23-year-old will play his second game on Saturday against AFC Hornchurch at Wembley against AFC Hornchurch in the Eastman League Premier Division.
“It came very quickly and it was very unexpected but it was a dream come true,” Kauhar said.
"It started with my ACL [previous crucial ligament injury]. I was out for 10 months and then when I came back from the injury, it was pretty hard and I was released. The lockdown didn't help and I didn't know what I could do." Tax
"I was working at KFC, I worked there for two weeks. After that I was selling cars at Toyota. I thought football was probably for me now.
“Playing five-a-side with my friends slowly brought back the love of football, then the trial at Hereford, to play the first training game, to score a goal.
"It just rekindled my love for a kind of football. I'm just glad that finally I can pursue my dream again."
Kouhiar received his Hereford trial through Beyond Entertainment, an athlete management company, which was launched by Razi Hassan with the aim of increasing participation in sports among the community represented below.
